Esther shares her family story and how it has influenced her writing, which highlights the challenges, dreams, and accomplishments of strong women.  She talks about how her parents, who were Holocaust survivors from Poland, arrived in the US, where they had to figure out how to live in a new culture, learn a new language, and raise a child—all with very little external support.  Esther shares the following nuggets of life wisdom:

• be a survivor
• simplify and survive
• put friends and family first
• hold on to humanity
• record and pass down the information about our generations
• hold on to our former culture, while we’re entering our new culture

After questioning her faith and volunteering in a developing country, Trisha realized her true calling and God’s purpose for her. After having three biological children, she and her husband added five more children to their family through foster care and transracial adoptions.  Trisha shares the following nuggets of life wisdom:
