183 Dr. Veronica Slaughter

When Veronica was 8, she and her 3 siblings were abducted by their American father from her homeland in the Philippines. As an older sibling, she played the role of caretaker to her younger siblings. After 4 years, Veronica’s mother was able to find her children and move them out. Even though her mom struggled to raise 4 children on her own, she taught Veronica to be a warrior, express kindness and never lose hope. She shares these powerful nuggets of life wisdom:
– you are valuable
– you are strong
– don’t let go of your belief system
– never give up
– you can fix anything with kindness
– think well of yourself
– you can’t give your power away
– be kind
– take care of your health
– don’t be swayed by those around you
– be of service to others
