Flora did not allow growing up during segregation to limit her access to education.  As she states, she wanted to stay in school as long as she could.  Flora feels that education played such a significant part in her upbringing and life journey.  Today, she motivates and empowers others to capture and share their life stories.  Flora shares the following nuggets of life wisdom:

– when you want something, it’s available to you, even if you can’t see how
– sometimes to get something, we need to give up something
– seek to have a strong desire and don’t worry about the ‘how’
